Round 1: Black

While not a particularly worrying round, it was considerably frustrating.  After taking days to get pregnant, both Sims then tried to burn down their house three time and are both terrible at fishing and gardening.  The only good thing to happen was the birth of their first child, another girl once again to bring the total of babies to 4 females, 0 males.  After that, both Sims almost starved to death after leaving little Flower on the floor in front of the fridge and once picking her up would place her back on the floor to wander off.  With that almost quick death avoided, we bring Round 1 to a close.

Only to start the third fire of the round. Thankfully, she was smart enough to finally display some of her Family personality to run Flower outside the cave to keep her save.

And with that Round 1 is complete!  It was certainly an experience I’ve never had when playing the Sims before.  And with most all younger Sims to be aging up at the end of the next round, it is certain to only get more challenging as I go on.

Round 1: White

Like the Brown’s before them, the White family was eerily calm and I kept expecting something terrible to happen.  Instead nothing happened at all, Soft became pregnant, gave birth to another little girl (Water), the tomatoes in the garden started to sprout, and Cloud became the first of the Sims to gain a Silver Talent Badge for fishing.

Hilarity and embarrassment soon follow.

As well as a dual flip preformed by Soft and Stream.

I would suggest to Water and any siblings that are most likely going to be conceived on this sofa to never sit on it. Ever.

At least Cloud is a smart husband. Immediately after a shower he joins to help her in cleaning the yard, probably realizing that not doing so would find him on the sofa, without his wife this time.

Round 1: Brown

After the nerve racking that was the Stone and Bird family, the Brown family was thankfully calm with little to no troubles.  Soon after starting this family, they wasted no time in immediately working to expand it.  After meeting their new neighbours, starting their new crop up and catching supper for the night, they immediately went at it again.  Even finding out Pond was expecting didn’t drop their libido any and continued to go at it like rabbits at least once a day.  The days passed peacefully with little to no trouble and little Rain was born to the joy of the new parents.  It was with even less trouble that Pond soon found herself pregnant the very next day.  Aside from a small fire that was put out with no problems, the round soon ended with Rain aged to a toddler and Pond only a day away from giving birth to the new little one growing inside her at this moment.  Meanwhile, Rock discovered the joys of free fishing and found a best friend in Stream Earth, the new neighbour from across the road.

Round 1: Stone

If I thought the Bird family was bad, this one made me scared to even return to play my other three families.  As a Romance Sim, River didn’t take long in taking her husband to test out the new bed (and the sofa, and the hot springs at the water hole) using ACR.  Due to both Sim’s being rather messy, the cave was soon a mess and the outside of the house covered in over grown bushes and weeds.  It’s a miracle the garden was regularly weeded, watered, and sprayed.  It was thanks to trait that River miscarried soon after conceiving, I hadn’t even been aware she had been pregnant until then.  After mourning the loss of her first child, she and Dirt didn’t take long to try again.  It was only a day or so after this that the newly pregnant River had to put out a tree that had been set on fire by lightning while her husband slept like the dead back in the cave.  Unfortunately, this pregnancy continue either.  RIver had died of heatstroke during her third trimester and had taken the baby with her, leaving Dirt both traumatized and without an heir to continue the blood line.  Understanding of the trauma he had almost received, Big dropped by uninvited to help console the distraught widower.

Round 1: Bird

I decided to start and play each family in the order they are located in my neighbourhood.  This means that the Bird family is the first to make an appearance, and boy did they ever make an impression.

With both Big and Sky as Family Sims, they both wanted children right away, and lots of them.  With this in mind, the first thing I did was send them to go to bed and Woohoo.  Due to the fact that I have the pregnancy chime turned off, I have no idea if a Sim becomes pregnant until the morning sickness starts and the belly appears.

It finally took half of the season but Sky finally managed to conceive and started wandering the lot in her very anachronistic maternity attire to complete the daily chores of gardening and fishing.  It was a very nerve-racking pregnancy though, due to the heat and lack of a shower (finally gave in and gave them a a waterfall shower near the end of the round) and after going crazy from heatstroke and almost miscarriying the unborn babe three times, she finally give birth to a little girl at the end of the round, whom using the creativeness cavemen are known for, named her Gurrl.  In the end though, Sky managed to gain a bronze talent badge in gardening and Big did the same in fishing (his new fabourite past time, he almost dropped dead from starvation before I realized and sent him to eat).

Sky contemplates life as a single mother when Big somehow managed to transform into a boulder when fishing at the local water hole.

His mysterious rocky ailment miracously cured, they return home and discuss over dinner modern caveman issues. Such as computers…

… and politics.

A New Challenger Has Appeared…

Welcome to both those new and old.  If you have come here, than I am going to assume that it’s because you wish to join me as I try to continue through the my first ever challenge, The Test of Time, and watch as I make five small families grow until twenty generations have passed and I am left with a multitude of families to continue their legacy.  I will try to make this site as a picture diary of sorts as I work through each family.

But first we must start at the beginning and that bring’s us to the Neanderthal era…
